Firts Day Of School!

Well...technically this is not her "first day" this school year, but last week and the beginning of this week was pre - planning for the teachers...so today was the official first day of school! I think Lily look so old in these! I can't believe she is 2, and next year she will be in 3K! I have her at my school again, in staff daycare, and I love having her there! She has five kids in her class this year...I will get pics of her and her friends at a later "less hectic" time! She has been having a great time...doing all sorts of activities...her teachers always tell me that they can't believe all she is saying and doing! She knows her shapes, colors, and just talks their ears off! She holds full conversations with everyone, and everyone always has to come and tell me what Lily said today! It is so sweet, and everyone at that school really does love lil! We are working on sitting down while we are eating, listening and obeying the first time, being kind to our friends (we think everything is "ours"), and taking a nap on a cot! They are having all of the kids lay on cots instead of in cribs..Lily did OK the first few days, but she hasn't napped the last 2 days, and it just makes her MISERABLE later on! I know she is only 2...but I pray for her and her behavior in school every day! I want her to be obedient, and loving! I want her to be sweet and kind to everyone! I want her to do what she is told... She is such a sweet baby doll, but she is very strong willed, and as a teacher...I worry about her as she gets older HA! I have seen many of her type come through my class! They are "busy" and always challenging me...but they are the funniest and sweetest, and always my favorites! I hope we are doing what we can to "train her up in the way she should go, so when she is old, she will not turn from it!" That verse is always one that I share with the parents of the kids in my class! I definitely look at the kids that are like her in a whole new way!!! Some kids are just "strong willed" , and it is OK! That is a GREAT quality...just has to be molded and sculpted in the correct way! Lily is our sunshine ( I sing that to her every night before I put her in her crib) and the light of our lives! I am so proud of her, and love her more than anything! She is my heart, and I just want to make sure I am doing all I can do to "train her up!" She is a tough little cookie, but she is just as sweet as one too! LOVE YOU PRINCESS!!!!! You are so SPECIAL!!!!

  1. PRECIOUS! I can't get over these pics, she is changing so much, even since I last saw her at the beginning of July, she looks so old, no more baby! Can't believe she is a toddler and going to school and acting like a BIG girl sleeping on cots, wow that is amazing, she will get use to it, it is something different other than sleeping in a crib, maybe it will help once you put her in a bed. She has brought so much joy to our lives sinc her birth, our Little Princess! These pics are so GREAT, I am really missing my little Lily lately and hope to see her soon, 2 months has been way to long to go without a visit. You are doing a WONDERFUL job Christy, you are an AMAZING mother, and you and Eric are doing a GREAT job with her, may the Lord continue to guide you as you raise your precious little girl! Love you all! She has really changed!

  2. And you must remember all of these strong qualities will benefit her one day in life. She is going to grow up knowing what she wants in life and ready to conquer it all! I am so glad I am able to see how youre doing here...I know you must be exhausted in the evenings. But we miss you! I only have 2 more days left and I'll be in the same "boat."
